Sailing charters in Cuba on the latest Bali 4.5 luxury sailing catamaran !

This particular model is based in Marina Marlin in Cienfuegos in Cuba, w ith a typical yacht charter itinerary taking you across to Cayo Largo and around Isla de la Juventud.  En route you will be able to anchor at Cayo del Rosario, Cayo Campos, Cayo Matias, across the Golfo de Batabano and Cayo Flamenco.  For the minotiry of crews who decide to sail eastwards, your stopovers would include locations such Marina Trinidad, Cayo Breton and Cayo Zaza de Fuera. The BALI 4.5 charter yacht was developed as a new type of a boat for Catana clients who prefer lighter and faster sailing catamarans in the most popular 45' range, but crucially with the added benefits of improved living space, a spacious fly bridge and tailgate to increase the cockpit space.  Adding a few luxuries such as generators and  air con, but also maintaining the Catana’s legendary technology and know-how developed as a manufacturer of performance sailing catamarans, the shipyard has managed to launch a very popular competitor to the longstanding Lagoon 450 multihull range.

When it comes to sailing in the Caribbean, Cuba comes up top amongst the more secluded cruising destinations.  Still under communist rule, there is a visible boost to the economy with US relations escalating and Cubans living abroad being able to purchase property back home first time for many years now.   For some, the economy is booming while the traditions which make Cuba a distinctive yachting destinations remain in place.  The sugar-white beaches, tobacco fields, salsa clubs and the capital Havana, which is lined with pastel houses, 1950s-era cars and Spanish-colonial architecture in the 16th-century core of the Old Havana make

Cuba an ideal sailing destination for both a one way cruise, general weekly or fortnightly sailing holiday as well as longer term or Seabbatical yacht charter vacation too.  A usual one week yacht charter itinerary would take you on the first afternoon to El Tamarindo beach for snorkelling an swimming as well as making a test sail on your new boat.  After listening to salsa music which is performed at the famed Tropicana and which plays in almost all dance clubs and cabaret shows on the island,  you can start planning your next yachtcharter day.  Setting sail on a long cruise towards Cayo Guano, arriving their late in the afternoon to enjoy a full day of relaxation,  sunbathing or snorkelling the next day.  We recommend all crews to stay two days in this region, simply to enjoy the best of experiences on offer in Guano.  If you have hired a skipper or a steward, who is a keen fisherman and if you are up for some action, a challenge of underwater harpoon fishing is most certainly going to appeal to you or some members of your crew. On the next day enjoy another fine day of casual sailing towards nearby Cayo Sal and dive into the beautiful Coral Reef to view numerous fishes, langouste and nurse sharks swimming around.  On the next day, you can aim for Cayo Largo, which is only a few hours away.  Here you can spend an extra day at Playa Sirena, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cuban Southern coastline.  In the marina here you should provision too and hit the turtle aquarium on one of the days.  Cay Largo is a perfect location to enjoy a bit of an extra stay. In the coming days experience some exhilarating sailing by hitting Cayo Iguana and Cayo Ingles.  On your last days, upon returning to Cienfuegos yachting club, invite your club members to pay a visit to Jardin Botanico Soledad and hike on the hills of El Nicho.  Some parties will also like to visit Trinidad town as it is a UNESCO heritage location, while others will not want to miss out on National Park Cienaga de Zapata or the Topes de Collantes for a bother of Health Tourism experience.

With flights readily available to all four international airports of Cuba, in particular one in La Havane, you should be able to pick and choose dates for your own family sailing holiday in Cuba easily. With 4 double cabins and 4 en suite toilets, the BALI 4.5 can comfortably accommodate up to 8  yacht charter guests on board.  If your party will have more guests, do let us know and we will see if additional bunk cabins or convertible salon layouts can be offered too. So why not book your Cuba flights now, explore colonial architecture of Trinidad and Havana and than join yachting community in the busy and prosperous Cienfuegos where you can enjoy one night of entertainment and fine dining before boarding your own boat. With an increasing number of yachts available for bareboat as well as skippered and luxury crewed yacht charters here, it is time that your party also starts considering the fabulous sailing grounds of Cuba.
