Bareboat yacht charter in Cuba with Leopard 40 sailing catamaran!

A Caribbean island nation under communist rule with sugar-white beaches, tobacco fields, and the capital Havana, which is lined with pastel houses, 1950s-era cars and Spanish-colonial architecture in the 16th-century core of the Old Havana, Cuba is an ideal sailing destination for a longer term yacht charter vacation.  With an increasing number of yachts available for bareboat as well as skippered and luxury crewed yacht charters here, it is time that your party also starts considering the fabulous sailing grounds of Cuba.

A usual one week yacht charter itinerary would take you on the first afternoon to El Tamarindo beach for snorkelling an swimming as well as making a test sail on your new boat, in this case a four double cabins Leopard 40 sailing catamaran which also features two heads.  After listening to salsa music which is performed at the famed Tropicana and which plays in almost all dance clubs and cabaret shows on the island,  you can start planning your next yachtcharter day.  Setting sail on a long cruise towards Cayo Guano, arriving their late in the afternoon to enjoy a full day of relaxation,  sunbathing or snorkelling the next day.  We recommend all crews to stay two days in this region, simply to enjoy the best of experiences on offer in Guano.  If you have hired a skipper or a steward, who is a keen fisherman and if you are up for some action, a challenge of underwater harpoon fishing is most certainly going to appeal to you or some members of your crew.

On the next day enjoy another fine day of casual sailing towards nearby Cayo Sal and dive into the beautiful Coral Reef to view numerous fishes, langouste and nurse sharks swimming around.  On the next day, you can aim for Cayo Largo, which is only a few hours away.  Here you can spend an extra day at Playa Sirena, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cuban Southern coastline.  In the marina here you should provision too and hit the turtle aquarium on one of the days.  Cay Largo is a perfect location to enjoy a bit of an extra stay. In the coming days experience some exhilarating sailing by hitting Cayo Iguana and Cayo Ingles.  On your last days, upon returning to Cienfuegos yachting club, invite your club members to pay a visit to Jardin Botanico Soledad and hike on the hills of El Nicho.  Some parties will also like to visit Trinidad town as it is a UNESCO heritage location, while others will not want to miss out on National Park Cienaga de Zapata or the Topes de Collantes for a bother of Health Tourism experience.

Flights are available on a regular basis to one of the four international airports of Cuba and increasing relaxation of various laws that either restricted the travel or import of various goods are being relaxed as we speak.  With Isla de la Juventud en route and several other archipelagos around, this multi-ethnic island nation which was formerly inhabited by Amerindian tribes has never had it this good both in terms of climate, human development as well as natural beauty which is breathtaking and which attracts so many yacht charter crews to these shores.  Set sail in Cuba this year and enjoy the best of boat rental deals on offer, before these sailing grounds turn into a prime destination charging top dollar for each charter week.
