Lastminute yacht charter and Covid-19 measures!

With latest reports of increased covid-19 infections in countries such as Croatia, some yacht charter clients are worrying about potential consequences and are re-considering their summer 2020 yacht charter plans.  With yacht charter holiday being the best form of social distancing however and even by crewed charter many measures successfuly applied, reduce the risk of infection and allow for a relatively worry-free vacation.

We invited the clients to check what diseinfection processes are taking place, how the yachts are prepared for charter and also to check new terms and conditions where re-booking and in some cases, free-cancellations are offered in case of renewed lockdowns or inability to reach your end destination.  When it comes to bareboat yacht charters, boats are cleaned, disenfected and all interior surfaces wipped off as well as bed linen cleaned and changed.  Social distancing is applied at the check in so that boats at takeover are mostly clean of any covid-19 virus.  In terms of crewed charters, some crew wear face masks permanently; others do so only on request of clients.  This in particular applies on yachts in the Mediterranean where mask wearing is becoming increasing required.

When it comes to island hopping and visits to restaurants or shops, any public spaces visits may be restricted or inaccessible without face masks, yet anchoring in bays and remote anchorages with your own provisions or chef on board minimises any risks too.

We invite you to charter a yacht lastminute therefore and simply put your worries away as if anything, yacht charter holiday is best way of keeping distance from others.
